Are you an experienced Tax Manager looking for a great public practice firm in Yellowknife with amazing prospects?
This position could see you managing a team of up to 5 staff and working closely with a broad client range throughout both the local area and further afield with a company who’s first responsibility is to ensure that their clients receive premium professional service and to treat everyone with courtesy, dignity and respect.
As an experienced financial professional you are highly capable of providing tax compliance and advisory services to Canadian private corporations, individuals, partnerships, trusts and not-for-profit organizations.
Your role could be working as part of a team helping to provide tax strategies and planning opportunities as well as taking control and leading special tax engagements.
As the Tax Manager you will be overseeing client accounts including billing, fee analysis and new service development. You will be reviewing the work of junior staff and help to provide training and guidance to help develop their careers.
Due to the location of some of the clients, you could be traveling to their locations which will give you the opportunity to see the most picturesque areas of Canada that most will only ever get see on a post card.
Skills & Experience –
Your experience in the tax and audit area will be essential for this role as well as your previous role(s) working for public practice firm(s). You will be able to fully utilize your financial/accounting degree and your Chartered Professional Accountant CPA designation for this role.
You will be able to bring your 5+ years of recent income tax compliance or tax planning in a senior role within a Canadian CPA firm and confidently manage tax risk and financial performance such as billing, collections and budgets.
It is highly desired that you have completed the CPA In-depth taxation course or are interested in enrolling in it or another Corporate Reorganizations course/Advanced Tax Issues for the Owner Manager.
It is an added bonus if you have completed the in depth CICA.
