Job Description:

Department Overview

Canadian Branch Infrastructure is an integral part of Branch & Infrastructure Technology Solutions in the Servicing & Digital Enablement Platform. Our team provides support for the Retail Branches indirectly, by working closely with the Retail Business and the various teams introducing new technologies and updates, providing retail lab test devices, and investigating / recommending new technology for the retail branches. Our team supports these various initiatives from conception, to testing right to completion of production rollout.

Job Accountabilities - What You'll Do

As an integral part of the Canadian Branch Infrastructure team, you will be assisting our various retail partners as they request retail hardware in the Creekside Lab. From provisioning to setup and providing guidance to the various partners to ensure their testing is completed successfully, thoroughly and in a timely manner. You will also be called upon to perform Stability Analysis which will ensure that the changes being tested do not adversely impact other applications on the retail platform. With the Creekside lab location also the location of various network testing, you will be a trusted partner in providing the network team they support they require in testing the various network configurations in our retail environment.

As a valued member of our retail Lab Management team, you will:
  • Consistently deliver outstanding customer service by actioning requests in a timely manner so timelines are not impacted and by providing support through your knowledge of the Canadian Retail Platform and applications.
  • Give specialized support (like research, installation, configuration, provisioning, systems support) and meets or exceeds established standards/service levels, while minimizing operational risk.
  • Build, deploy base infrastructure components (e.g. servers, operating systems, middleware) for all environments.
  • Maintain base infrastructure components, work with third parties to report problems, and receive fixes.
  • Monitor system lifecycles, ensure specifications and functionality support our objectives and architecture decisions, redevelop when necessary.
  • Conduct research, build solutions, maintain documentation.
  • Provide quality service and solutions to clients by promptly communicating, escalating and resolving issues.
  • Design, review, integrate application requirements (functional, security, integration, performance, quality, operations etc.).
  • Help evolve the base infrastructure and operational environment, deploy new technologies.
  • Use metrics to monitor environment performance, pinpoint ways to boost performance and resource utilization.
  • Execute test plans, monitor, report results, resolve issues which may include that you identify and address application and data, cross-capability and cross-release issues.
  • Maintain secure computing facilities and technical infrastructure and architecture.
  • Be aware of and follow necessary processes/standards, business technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines.
  • Know and follow both disaster and business recovery plan standards, policies and procedures.
  • Gain knowledge of TD services, applications, infrastructure, analytical tools and techniques, industry trends.
  • Embrace teamwork to resolve critical service issues.

Work Model

You'll work primarily onsite at the Creekside location. However, some of your work activities can be performed independently, allowing you to spend some of your time at your secure, private workspace with a stable internet connection. Required:

Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.

3-5 years relevant experience.

Experience in the Canadian retail banking environment, financial services or customer-focused service industries

Commitment to staying abreast of industry and business trends.

Readiness to serve as a technology, trends and processes "go-to" resource.

Ability to work with stakeholders to configure, upgrade and administer business applications and systems of moderate to high complexity, under minimal management supervision.

Strong ability to perform problem determination, including data gathering and analysis.

Great comfort-level acting as a reference for team or clients.

Ability to develop scripts to address gaps in the application/system, to simplify and enhance the application and system environment.
