In this role, you'll apply your drafting, design, and field skills to support projects that protect communities from flooding, improve water quality, and enhance local environments.
Based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, you'll collaborate with engineers and technologists on a range of water resources and civil infrastructure projects. From preparing detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to supporting field programs and construction, you'll see the full project lifecycle and grow your expertise in a consulting environment.

In this role, you'll apply your drafting, design, and field skills to support projects that protect communities from flooding, improve water quality, and enhance local environments.
Based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, you'll collaborate with engineers and technologists on a range of water resources and civil infrastructure projects. From preparing detailed design drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, to supporting field programs and construction, you'll see the full project lifecycle and grow your expertise in a consulting environment.
Your Impact
- Prepare clear, accurate engineering drawings, figures and plan/profile sheets to communicate the results of water resources studies, reports, and preliminary and detailed designs.
- Develop and update design figures to support hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, stormwater management designs, channel and culvert improvements, and related civil works.
- Review and provide input into quantity take-offs and cost estimates for detailed designs and tender packages, helping to ensure accuracy and constructability.
- Support the preparation of tender documents by coordinating drawing sets, checking alignment with specifications, and incorporating review comments.
- Work closely with, and be mentored by, senior water resources technologists and engineers to understand project delivery requirements, quality standards, and internal workflows.
- Provide field support on an as-needed basis, including participation in water quality and quantity monitoring programs, topographic and bathymetric surveys, condition assessments, inspections, and construction support activities.
- Help maintain organized CAD and GIS datasets, following WSP standards for digital files, layers, and naming conventions to support efficient project delivery.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and collaborative team culture where ideas are shared openly, and continuous learning is encouraged.
The Skills That Set You Apart
- You have a College or University degree in engineering or engineering technology, with a strong focus on AutoCAD and related drawing technologies.
- You bring 3+ years of practical experience in civil engineering, ideally with exposure to water resources engineering and consulting.
- You are proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, and comfortable preparing civil and water resources drawings and figures using these tools.
- Knowledge of ArcGIS or other GIS software and experience preparing mapping or figures in GIS is an asset you're keen to build on.
- You enjoy combining office-based design work with field work, and are willing to support monitoring programs, surveys, inspections and site visits on an as-needed basis.
- You communicate effectively, work well in a team setting, and bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to project work.
- You have a valid driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle to support occasional site and field visits.
- Experience with, or interest in, tender preparation and contract administration is an asset that will help you grow with the team.

- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $69,700 - $92,300
- MB & ON: $63,600 - $87,500
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $62,900 - $83,600
